School Policy Manual

Edward Gato Real Estate School is approved by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for the purpose of offering the following distance education courses: Sales Associate Pre-License; Broker; Sales Associates Post License; Broker Post License; and Continuing Education for Sales Associates and Brokers.

EXAMINATION AND GRADING POLICY
When taking the Salespersons Pre license course, a final examination is required for course completion. You must pass the exam with a minimum score of 70% correct to pass the course. If you fail the exam, you have to wait 30 days before retaking the exam. Should you fail both exams, you must re-register and repeat the course from the beginning before taking the final exam again.

CERTIFICATE OF COURSE COMPLETION
Upon completion of course, you will receive a Completion Certificate From Edward Gato Real Estate School. In the event the certificate is lost, a duplicate may be obtained from Edward Gato Real Estate School offices by request.

STUDENT AFFIDAVIT
All students participating in distance learning must complete an affidavit certifying compliance with the course requirements. This statement must be Signed, Dated, on-line before any student can receive credit for a distance learning course. This statement certifies that each student has personally completed each lesson of instruction.

REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY
Technical Issues: You will be eligible for a refund only if Tech Support determines that your problem is not correctable. After a technician determines that your technical problem is not correctable, then you will be instructed to contact Edward Gato Real Estate School to initiate a refund. TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Please call the Technical Support Hotline at (888) 213-5124 or e-mail REtechsupport@dearborn.com if you are encountering difficulties such as the following: you're having trouble getting your course to run, graphics are not visible on your screen, or you have other system-type problems. Technical support is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
In order to take distance education courses, your computer must meet the following system requirements:
  • IBM PC Compatible Computer (minimum 350 MHz processor with 32 MB RAM)

  • SVGA (800x600) video card, driver, and monitor

  • Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000*/XP*

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or greater (free download available with course)

  • Internet connection (minimum 56Kbps required, although we highly recommend a high speed connection such as DSL, cable or TI)

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or greater 

REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETING THE COURSE
Please refer to the directions on your course home page for specific instructions regarding the completion of your course and the “Introduction” lesson located at the beginning of each course. To complete the course and receive your Completion Certificate, you must successfully complete the following requirements:
Complete ALL instructional lessons in the course.
Return Student Affidavit to the school when the course is complete. The Student Affidavit is a signed document from you certifying that you have personally completed each assigned lesson of instruction. This student affidavit must be completed  before you can receive credit for a distance learning course.
NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY
